Dubai is packed with the international restaurant – if you want a burger or steak, Brazilian bbq, Turkish food, or Thai food – it’s all in Dubai.
But what’s interesting about Dubai is that Emirati food is not all that commonly found at restaurants, the reason being, most Emirati’s still eat local food at home.
However, that scene is changing, and you’ll find some traditional Emirati restaurants, and also restaurants that serve cuisine from the Arabian Peninsula.

11. Clothing:
What to wear in Dubai: practical advice for travelers
Dubai is actually very relaxed and open-minded when it comes to clothing. As the public is very international, so is the clothing.
You will see people wearing all imaginable sorts of clothing in Dubai – from shorts and sleeveless t-shirts to burqas.
But don’t forget that it’s a Muslim country and you are a guest. So once again – if in doubt, always go for the ‘safer’ choice.
Dress code at Dubai hotels, restaurants, and malls
Most malls, restaurants, and hotels in Dubai ask customers to ‘dress modestly’ and advise them to cover their knees and shoulders. However, we saw many people who didn’t fit this description and nobody really seemed to be bothered.
As long as you stay in the very tourist places (hotels, malls…), you can pretty much wear whatever you want in Dubai. The rules might be enforced more strictly if you visit during Ramadan, so keep this in mind.
Most upmarket restaurants require that men wear long trousers and closed shoes; women can wear sandals at any time.
Beachwear is only for the beach, so don’t go to a restaurant wearing only a bikini or swimming shorts.
What to wear on the beach, swimming pools & water parks in Dubai
Any type of beachwear from bikini to full-cover Islamic swimsuits is allowed at all beaches, pools, and waterparks
12. Weather:
Dubai’s weather is warm all year round with two distinct summer and winter seasons. The lowest average temperatures are around 20⁰C in January, while the summer months (between June and August) have averages of around 30⁰C. Dubai gets an average of 8 to 10 hours of sunshine a day year-round, so you can generally expect blue skies and warm to hot weather that makes waterparks a fun option for families whenever you visit. December to March is generally the best time to visit Dubai weather-wise and it also complements good weather in destinations like the Maldives for a multi-center holiday with a Dubai stopover. It’s best to pack light, comfortable clothes to keep cool whenever you travel – if you’re heading into the desert in the winter, it’s worth packing layers as the temperature drops a few degrees at night. Dubai typically gets very little rain, usually with just a couple of days of rain during the winter months.
13. Insurance:
We do not hope that there may arise any serious problem for you in your journey, but if you get caught by a serious illness, then we will do our best to take you to the nearest hospital possible. So, it is good for you to have insurance which will cover your cost. Be Insured. (See the travel insurance page for more information)
12. Trip Extensions/ Add-on trips:
If you like our service and you want to extend your trip, then we can further organize your trip to Nepal, Bhutan, India, Maldives and Tibet. Please contact us.
