Welcome to Nepal: land of Buddha and Peace. In this 8 day Buddhist culture and Heritage tour, we escort you to some of the most significant Buddhist sites in the world, which includes the birthplace of Buddha - Lumbini. The package is conglomerates of both the natural and cultural facets of touring in Nepal, beginning from Kathmandu:  the cultural, historical and political center of Nepal. Kathmandu has its own trademark of cultural life based on a distinctive mixture of different religions and faiths. In Kathmandu, you will visit Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and many other important Buddhist monasteries. Then leave Kathmandu: the capital of Nepal for Pokhara. In Pokhara, you will visit the World Peace Stupa and the Tibetan Refugee Center to get a firsthand experience of the Tibetan Buddhism lifestyle along with some natural sites. Finally, start your journey towards Lumbini: your ultimate destination. Allocating one full day discovering the many cultural and spiritual sites at Lumbini, drive back to Kathmandu for the return flight.

Outline Itinerary

01 Days Arrival in Kathmandu airport and Pre-trip meeting.

After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative from Luxury Holidays Nepal will pick up from the airport and take to your hotel. In the afternoon, you may take a rest or visit Luxury Holidays Nepal’s office. At evening, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your tour guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trip. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip. For the meeting, please make sure you bring your passport, one passport-size photo, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. During this meeting, please clear the due balance, if any. Please inform us in advance if you will be arriving late and therefore are unable to attend the pre-trip meeting. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Luxury Holidays Nepal provides you 4 star hotels in Kathmandu (Hotel Mulberry or similar Category), in Pokhara (Hotel Mount Kailash resort or similar) and in Lumbini (Hotel Everest International or similar Category).

Luggage:
You should carry the water bottle, sun cream, camera, spare jacket, etc.  in your daypack. You are provided with a free locker room in a hotel in Kathmandu. The weight allowance in domestic airlines of Nepal is up to 20 kg and for more weight, you have to pay US$1 per/kg depending on the area.

Luxury Holidays Nepal will facilitate you with the trained traveling guide in your group.

Payment of the Due Balance:
The rest amount of your trip can be paid in our office after your arrival or via online payment before your arrival in Nepal (Online payment). If you choose to settle your holiday balance by credit card a handling charge of 4% on the outstanding balance is made. There is no handling charge for payment by bank transfer.

Vouchers: 
If you have purchased a voucher for the tour, please inform us which tour date suits you as soon as you are certain. We need time to purchase your domestic air ticket and make other arrangements so please confirm your spot on a tour at least 2 months prior to the commencement of the tour. Visa:
You can get a visa in Kathmandu airport upon arrival for $25 USD (or equivalent in other major currencies) for a 15 days visa or $40 USD for a 30 days visa. Please bring 2 photos for the visa. Expect to have some waiting time in the queue for obtaining your visa. You can also get your visa prior to coming on the tour by contacting your closest Nepali embassy. (Nepal Visa Info)

When and where should you arrive?
Please book your international flight to arrive and depart from Kathmandu international airport. The tour starts with the first day of arrival in Kathmandu and ends on after the scheduled trip after the breakfast.
You will be received outside the Kathmandu international airport terminal by representatives holding a Luxury Holidays Nepal sign card and he will escort you to the Hotel.

Currencies are accepted in Nepal: 
Some major currencies (USD, AUD, and EURO) are accepted for both VISA and in general. There are plenty of ATM's in Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara and credit cards are accepted in limited shops and many restaurants. Please note that only Nepali rupees are accepted on the trek.

Health Issues:
The altitude sickness will get from 3000 meters. Normally below three 3000 meters will not have altitude related problems usually for people for stable health. But above it can cause altitude-related sickness.

Insurance/Evacuation: 
We do not hope that there may arise any serious problem for you in your journey, but if you get caught by serious illness, then we will do our best to take you to the nearest hospital possible. So, it is good for you to have insurance which will cover your cost. Be Insured. (See the travel insurance page)

Tips:
A general rule of thumb for tipping is to USD 40 to USD 70 per Traveler, depending on the length of the tour. That said, this is just a guide and you may tip, however much you think is appropriate for the services rendered which made your trip a memorable one.

If alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group.
