Dhampus peak lies in the protected region of Annapurna national park so you can expect rich flora and fauna. A brilliant showcase of Nepal's national seal, the rhododendron tree with its striking white, pink and red blooms while journeying across the lower areas of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains. During the excursion, we cross two courageous snow-shrouded passes: French Pass at 5360 metres and Dhampus Pass at 5200 metres. In terms of technicality, it is an accessible mountain to ascend. Dhampus Trekking is a great beginner's peak. The climbers looking to gain experience on natural Himalayan terrain at altitude should consider this as their first choice. The ascent requires only walking on steep/fallen snow with crampons and an axe.

Dhampus Peak is an easy mountain to a summit in case of technicalities. Dhampus peak climbing requires no prior technical climbing experience but good physical fitness along with the desire to climb is mandatory. We follow an attractive natural path for the trekking trail. March-May and September – November is the best season for climbing the peak although the peak is open for all seasons. We can witness thirty different peaks from the summit of the Dhampus which makes our journey worthwhile and worth remembering. Best time to climb Damus Peak

Dhampus peak falls under the western belt of the Himalayan region which makes the region lesser prone to heavier rainfall, that's why the period of March-May which is late spring, and September-November, that is Autumn, is definitely the ultimate period to climb Chulu west peak for outstanding views of Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Mt. Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7739m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Annapurna south 7219m, Hiunchuli 6441m, Mt. Fishtail/Machhapuchhare 6998m, Mt. Route to Dhampus Peak

The route to the peak is completed with the setup of only one camp as a base camp and you will push to the summit after the acclimatisation day in base camp. The route will pass through several villages including Tato Pani, Marpha (2670m/8759ft), Yak Charka, Hidden Valley. The caravan Thapa peak climbing route goes through several traditional villages, rhododendron forests and crosses numerous passes with stunning views of the Himalayas.
