Jomsom Muktinath Trekking is popular as easy trekking in Nepal. This trekking is more popular as pilgrimage trekking than nature trekking in Nepal. Jomsom Muktinath trekking takes us to the beautiful windy city, Jomsom, in the lap of Himalayas and also offers an opportunity to explore a popular Hindu Pilgrimage site, Muktinath. This trek is an exciting trek connecting both Annapurna and Mustang regions of Nepal.
Jomsom is a pristine city that tends to be windy in the afternoon and evening. Jomsom is very popular for apples in Nepal. We also will go to observe apple plantation and gardens in this Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. We find different brands of liquors made up of apples here in Jomsom.
Muktinath, a popular Hindu pilgrimage site where god Vishnu is worshipped, imparts spiritual feelings while being a part of Jomsom Muktinath Trekking. According to Hindu mythology, all sins will be washed away if we take a bath from the water spouts at Muktinath. So, the Hindu devotees from India and around the world go to visit Muktinath.
We also visit other beautiful towns like Marpha and Kagbeni. Marpha is where beautiful orchards can be observed. Kagbeni offers us mesmerizing views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri and Tukuche peaks.
Jomsom Muktinath trek begins from Kathmandu with the tour of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This Kathmandu sightseeing tour takes us to four UNESCO World Heritage sites: Swyombhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath and Patan and have the chance to explore ancient art, history, culture, religion, and civilization. Next, we fly to Pokhara, the beautiful city of serene lakes and holy caves. We further drive to Nayapool and begin trekking from there. We pass Ulleri and arrive at Ghorepani. Ghorepani and a climb to Poonhill offer spectacular views of sunrise and Annapurna massif, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Himchuli, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. Trek in the beautiful Annapurna region and gradually enters the Mustang region.
The trail basically passes through quaint villages, cascading waterfalls, lush forests and surprisingly an almost-barren leeward side of the Himalayas. The diverse Nepalese landscape combined with the rich culture of its people makes this trek all the more rewarding. We also pass Kagbeni and Marpha before arriving at Muktinath. On Jomsom Muktinath Trek, you also walk on trails along the Kali Gandaki gorge which is the deepest gorge on earth and then visit the Muktinath Temple, which is an important place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists alike. The 108 water spouts in Muktinath are supposed to wash all your sins. At the same time, you will astonish to seeing a flame that never goes out. Dipping your bodies into the hot spring at Tatopani will also be a pleasing experience. The trek finally ends with our short and scenic flight to Pokhara from Jomsom followed by a drive back to Kathmandu. Thus, Jomsom Muktinath trek is a distinct trek to distinct landscapes and mountain panorama.

Luxury Holidays Nepal organized and conducted for us (two families with children) our first Nepal trekking experience - and it was fantastic. Everything was organized impeccably - in advance of the trip (their English is excellent), at arrival, the transfers, and the trip itself. The whole team - from guide (thank you Shankar for fantastic leadership), to porters to the Luxury Holidays Nepal leadership. We felt safe all through the trip, while also feeling free to explore and experience the mountains and beautiful landscape. They also took utmost care regarding food hygiene, both while cooking themselves or overseeing food preparation in guest houses. Thank you Luxury Holidays Nepal and hope you will get the chance to give this great experience of your country to many others.

1. Flight Delay in JOMSOM
Twin Otter is the primary mode of transport from the airstrip at Jomsom. This service is fairly dependable. Sometimes, flights may be canceled due to mountain weather conditions or other technical problems. In such case, Luxury Holidays Nepal will organize the alternative available road transportation to ensure you are on schedule for your international flight.
The expense of the road transport will be managed from the reimbursement received from the flight ticket after the deduction of cancelation charge. So please note that there will be no refund of the flight from Jomsom to Pokhara if the alternative road transportation is consolidated.
2. During the trip; weather, local politics, transport or other factors, that are beyond our control can result in a change of itinerary. It is however very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered. If alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything we can to minimize its effect.
