Kusum Kanguru Climbing (6,367 m)

Kusum Kanguru Peak considered a technical peak among six thousander is a stunning rock and ice peak in Khumbu valley, borders between Dudhkosi in South and Hinku Valley in North. Kusum Kanguru translates as “The Three Snow-White Gods” in Sherpa language because, Kusum Kanguru is a complex of three summits East Summit Kusum Kanguru 6358m, Main Summit Kusum Kanguru 6367m, and the West Summit Kusum Kanguru 5579m. The peak is situated at Mahalangur range of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu municipality of Solukhumbu district in Nepal. Standing at an astounding elevation of 6370m it offers panoramic views of Khumbu Tse, Karyolung, Khang Karpo, Khangtega and many more.

The peak was first ascended by a Japanese expedition team in Autumn, 1979.

Situated on the UNESCO world heritage site of Sagarmatha National park its rich in biodiversity. Route to Kusum Kanguru Peak

The route to the peak follows two major routes Southeast ridge and North ridge, both of the routes are technically challenging. The trail encompasses most of the Everest base camp which is a bonus trip to your expedition. The Southeast ridge faces the Hinku valley side, where the base camp is 5 days of trekking distance from Lukla. The base camp is situated at 4360m and with a set up of two to three high camps, you push for the summit The North ridge approaches from Monjo the trail leading to Namche BACHHAR the Sherpa Capital, from the base camp you ascend steep grass and screen finally leading to the summit.
