This flight will provide us with an extraordinary view of stunning mountain ranges and splendid mountain landscapes. After arriving at Lukla, our guide will give you brief details about the first day's trek, introduced with our assistants (porters) at the same time, we will take our first mountain meal as breakfast in Lukla. Kick-off your first-day trekking with an easy walk through Chaurikharka village, until we arrive in Phakding. One the way, we might encounter Dzho, Donkeys, and Yaks and we will pass all the rhododendron forest and few mini villages. Since Phakding is a small village and rustic settlement is located in the Bank of Dudh Koshi river, we need to descend down from Lukla.
Overnight in Manjo.
You will continue trek along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing the majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar is known as the Gateway to Everest, which is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange, internet cafe and a bakery. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
As we are heading towards higher altitude, our body needs to adapt to the Himalayan atmosphere and climate. So, we let our bodies acclimatize with the mountain environment. Thankfully, Namche has many things to explore since it's the capital of the Everest region and home of the sherpas. On this day, we will hike to Everest View Point, and later we will explore the Everest View Hotel. This hotel is regarded as the highest star hotel in the world, which lies in a 3880m altitude. The moment will be so precious when we will take our coffee/tea and Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and numerous mountains will be in front of us to cheer us. Many other beautiful mountains like Thamserku, Kongde, Kusum Kanguru, and Nuptse can be easily explored from this place. Short visit to the Sherpa museum to learn more about the vibrant Sherpa culture and tradition. The National Park museum offers information about Everest and related mountains, which lies just near the Sherpa Museum. There is a small Airport- Syangboche Airport, on the head of Namche Bazaar, from where you can also capture the beautiful pictures of Namche. Later, when we return back to the main town, we can explore the good restaurants, coffee shops for the more varieties of food. Overnight stay at Namche Bazaar.
The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi with magnificent views of the mountains. The trek will end at an altitude of 3,930m / 12,893ft. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside, the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche village.
The trek continues, leading to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. Take rests sometimes so you avoid getting affected by the altitude. Overnight at Dingboche.
Since the village is located at 4400m altitude, we need proper rest and take care, so that we can easily adopt the more altitude. This is also a memorable place, where Tenzing Norge and Sir Edmund Hillary step their first feet during their Everest summit mission.
Today, we will hike to the Nangkartshang peak (5,083m), which is about 3hr hiking distance from Dingboche. Ama Dablam, Island peak, Chukung village, Imja valley including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and an aerial view of Dingboche can be easily seen from here. When we arrive in Dingboche from a short hike, we can explore villages for the coffee and this place is famous for french bakeries as well. During dinner time, we can sing songs and play cards as well. Overnight stay at comfortable accommodation.
From this day, the trekking grade becomes moderate to difficult because of higher altitude. The level of oxygen in the air becomes lower and we might feel more tired. We will pass through the windy pastureland of Yaks with gradual uphill and Sloopy landscapes that lie on the soldiers of Pheriche. The terrain will become totally different than in previous days. On the way, Tawache, Cholatse, Lobuche peak along with Ama Dablam view can be explored closely. Lunch camp will be on the bank of Khumbu glacier and after than 1hr direct hiking will take us to the sherpa memorial called Thukla pass 4800m. Here we will find the stone made memorial dedicated to all the Sherpas and climbers who lost their lives in different expeditions of nearby mountains. The remaining trail will be almost straight until Lobuche but the mountain terrain will be rocky, sometimes melted snow also available. A small beautiful village on the side of the epic Khumbu glacier and base of Lobuche peak welcome us for today's accommodation. If we are lucky enough, we can be the witness of the sunset over Nuptse and Pumori. Prepare for the coldest night and some might feel the problems in breathing because of altitude. Overnight stay in the guesthouse.
This is a big day for all the trekking enthusiasm who dreamed to trek to the base of the world’s highest mountain. The initial trek will be comparatively easy, as we don’t need to climb much uphill until Gorakshep. The trail will be rocky and craggy and walking along the Khumbu glacier until Base Camp. Almost, a 3hour hike takes us to the stunning small village above 5,000m and we will take rest for a few times including lunch before resuming our hike to base camp.
It will take another 3-hour trek in a rocky moraine trail formed by glacial remains. The breathtaking view of Khumbu icefall, the tip of Everest, and glacier-covered with sky-touching mountains gives the extra charm to the base camp. If we are trekking during spring, we can meet 100s of climbers who are attempting to climb Everest and Lhotse. We came back to Gorakshep for the accommodation. Since we are at a higher altitude, proper diet, drink and rest are very important.
This will be another beautiful day and the most important day to watch the panoramic view of breathtaking mountains. We will wake up at 3-4 am in the morning and a 3hour trail uphill climb takes us to the summit of the Kalapatthar. Kalapatther means the mountain made by black rocks and this is the highest altitude (5,545m) we will climb in our entire trek. Kalapatthar is one of the most famous viewpoints for both sunset and sunrise over the world's highest point. Sunset is rare because the weather conditions during the evening in the mountains always remain foggy and covered with clouds snowfall.
Then, we will come back to Gorak Shep, take your breakfast and trek to Pheriche/Pangboche. The trail for today is just descending down and losing the altitude makes you more comfortable and less tired as well. Pheriche is the normal destination but if the group can still walk around 2 hours more then we would extend up to Pangboche village.
Leaving the mountain behind us and taking a lot of memories, struggles, tears, happiness, and satisfaction in our heart and descending down to Pangboche, Tengboche monastery. Hiking down is significantly easier and sharing our experience and wish for the new trekkers that we will encounter on the way. We will celebrate today’s night with other trekkers as we will stay again in Namche. We still can explore Namche and interact with the locals about their lifestyle and Nepalese culture.
We will enjoy the final sight of the mountains from Namche. When we will descend towards Lukla, we will get the longest suspension bridge and the blow of morning winds makes beautiful moves of prayer flags on the bridge. After that, we will pass through several beautiful villages, which shows the mountain lifestyle, gives the reflection of Tibetian Buddhism, and the sound of the Dudh Koshi river thanks us with a warm goodbye. We will arrive in Lukla at around late afternoon. We can do a shower and make ourselves fresh and enjoy the last day in the mountains. Overnight stay at Lukla with warm and comfortable accommodation.
Our trek comes to an end today. As we take our early breakfast in Lukla and we will depart to the most extreme airport which lies nearby to our hotel. According to our flight schedule, we will get ready and leave the hotel. Enjoy the last glimpse of mountains and big hills from your window makes your final day in the mountains more cheerful. Enjoy the 35m scenic flight from Lukla to Namche and our guide will drop you to the hotel. Rest of the time, you can explore yourself. Overnight stays in Luxury hotel, Kathmandu
After a few days of fun and excitement, the day to bid farewell has arrived. Our representatives will escort you to the Tribhuwan International Airport as per your flight time.
After the wonderful opportunity to organize this tour for you we wish you a safe and happy journey ahead.
It was the first experience for my wife and me to trek to Everest Base Camp in October 2017. Such a well-organized trek. From the start till the end everything was correctly managed.
No words or photos can describe the trekking to EBC and back. It was awesome, it was incredibly hard, and it was mind-blowingly beautiful. The trek was amazing. They took care of us during our stay and trek. We were way more than satisfied with their services. if you ever wish to visit Nepal or the Himalayas, be sure to go through LHN.
We are so happy with our experience with LHN and going to be recommending it to all of our friends who are interested in trekking to EBC. From start to finish LHN has been outstanding We had the most amazing trip in a lifetime. They provided the best Hotel rooms, standard lodges with quality foods and dinner.-The guide provided by the LHN company was fantastic, helpful in a good manner, and respectful. All the credit goes to LHN and their whole team for the memorable journey and Also, Thank you!! For this amazing trip in my life.
Published: Tuesday, December 10, 2019One of my friends suggested me for trekking in Nepal and with Luxury Holidays Nepal. As I trust him very much, I trusted making Everest Base Camp trek with them. I was in worry that how will be accommodation in Nepal and I consulted with LHN about it. They suggested for making luxury Trek. I booked that. Well there is no doubt of a fantastic journey in Everest. It was so nice to visit Sherpa peoples and villages, their monasteries, walking in the extreme rugged trails, with natural wanderings and cultural values. Before I was in confusions that how trekking in a remote area will be luxurious, but without any doubt I completed trekking and realize that it was totally comfortable and luxurious. We were in luxurious hotel in Kathmandu named Dwarika’s Hotel. But there was no any luxurious hotel in high altitude and trekking route, but yah standard guest was also very nice and provided very nice accommodations. It was well organized and well-managed trek. LHN and team are very nice and kind. There is surety of excellent holidays. I would like to thank you very much. I am rating your job full star because yours all efforts impressed me.
Published: Thursday, August 8, 2019This trek was awesome. Luxury Holidays Nepal was so helpful from starting to ending days! They are so much concerned with our safety, luxury as per their company name (which was absolutely great) and making sure you reach base camp without any obstacles! We laughed, cried, and gained strength to reach base camp. I would highly recommend this company and this trek.
The trek is worth it and our guide Ram was great!!
EBC,
A Trek for life time.
The mountains view we believe is unbeatable.
Few tips:
1) if your flight are delayed, then don't waste your time instead take a helicopter. Try to book a morning flight then you will have more chances to go to lukla.
2) Take an aluminum bottle, so that you can put hot water at night up in the mountains.
3) take some water purifier, you can also find in markets market. Water is very expensive on high altitude and if you buy plastic bottle then water gets cold very fast.
4) Get enough money for your whole trek in Katmandu because ATM in Namche Bazar has less withdrawn of money & pay more fees.
We contacted with Luxury Holiday Nepal which we can really recommend to every people who want to travel Nepal with luxury. Ram, our guide also spoke very good English and he was so much caring, friendly and professional.
Luxury Holidays Nepal is absolutely first class. The company has the highest qualified teams and guides who have best Nepal Tours and Treks experience. They have absolutely incredible trekking team on the ground of the Himalayas. Who thought you can get apple pie and pizza at base camp? In fact, our guide's baked us a cake on the last day of our trek to make it even more memorable. What a wonderful, outstanding, secure operation. All food was organic, clean and all water was boiled. I am so happy to travel with LHN and would be very much grateful to recommend them for best Luxury Treks.
Published: Wednesday, April 12, 2017At first I was a little hesitant that I had booked the trip with an unknown overseas company but I should not have worried, from the beginning it was so easy to arrange and liase with the LHN people via email.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu we were greeted by our driver outside the airport (what a drive) and taken to a great little hotel in Thamel where we met Shishir and our fellow trekkers! I was so nervous and culture shocked but everybody there made it so easy for us, especially our great trek guide, who I still keep in contact with today, and our porters.
I couldn't fault my experience. All lodges were of the greatest quality and I would definitely go with Luxury Holidays Nepal again, to do the exact same trek. Once isn't enough.

That said, this is just a guide and you may tip however much you think is appropriate for the services rendered which made your trip a memorable one.

Note:
1. Please note that often the Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu flight gets delayed by a few hours or may even be canceled for one, two, or more days due to unfavorable weather conditions. Such conditions may arise even in the best seasons. Hence, in such cases, you must be prepared for long waits either at Kathmandu or Lukla airports, as this can happen either at the start or end of the trek or even both! We will do our best to avoid such delays, and arrange the next flight for you. We also organize Helicopter rescue in such conditions, if it is available and upon request by our clients. The helicopter charges around USD 3500 and it can lift 4-5 persons per flight. Still, we suggest you be prepared for possible delays/cancellations, and if possible to come with some extra days (1-2 days) at the end of the trip to accommodate such delays. If everything runs smoothly and you still have extra days then you may even engage yourself in optional activities which can be arranged by Luxury Holidays Nepal upon request. The optional activities may include visiting places/landmarks of your choice, adventure sports, shopping, etc.
In case the flight delay/cancellation happens at the start of the trip and it goes so long that it disturbs your onward travel schedule, you are free to choose an alternative trip such as a trek in the Annapurna, Langtang, or any other region. If you are not interested in the alternative trip and would rather wait for your original preferred trip, you are welcome to wait in Kathmandu for as many days as it takes to get a flight to Lukla. However, please note that there will be no refund if you lose time waiting at the airport and do not take an alternative tour or you only do a short trek later due to time limitations. If the cancellation happens before the trip, we will provide you with accommodation and lunch in a guesthouse in Kathmandu. In case of a flight delay/cancellation after finishing the trek, you will be responsible for all your expenses. Please also note that you will not be entitled to any refund for the services (such as hotel, transportation, flight, etc.) included in the package that you would not use later.
2. During the trip; weather, local politics, transport, or other factors, that are beyond our control can result in a change of itinerary. It is however very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered. If alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything we can to minimize its effect.
