Manaslu Expedition (8,163 m)

Manasalu world's eighth highest mountain stands at an astounding elevation of 8,163m at Gorkha District of Gorkha Province Nepal. The mountain is popularly known as the “Mountain of spirit”. The Manasalu peak was first climbed successfully by Two mountaineers Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu 9th May 1956. The peak is one of the most technical climbs in eight-thousanders, more technical than Everest, Lhotse, and Cho Oyu.

Base camp situated at 4700m is one of the unique camps, where the peak can be climbed from different sets of directions. The route which seems to be more confident to you and your guide will be the one to summit the peak. Although the choices for expeditions are from different sides, technical skills are much required to climb the peak. This peak can be expected as the peak to prepare for the most anticipated mountain on the planet earth “Mt.Everest”. 

Climbing the peak is an extraordinary adventure that requires you to be in an excellent physical and mental state. So, the climbers are highly recommended to get engaged in a physical fitness program at least six months before the expedition. This physical fitness program will make you able to understand your current physical status and the type of mountain peak you will be able to summit. Although, you will be guided by very capable mountain guides to make your trip to the summit very successful.

However, our mountain guide will make sure of you to summit even though you have intermediate experience on trekking or climbing a trekking peak. 

Flora and Fauna

Due to the less crowd of people and the range coming under Mansiri the trail towards the mountain camp is rich in biodiversity. You can expect some of the rare flora and fauna to be able to witness in real-time. The dense Rhododendron forest above 3000m makes the trail towards the camp one of the most unique experiences.

Best time to do Manaslu Expedition

The month of May-July and Sep-Nov which is Spring and Autumn is considered the best time to visit Mnasalu, as the weather during this period of time is calm and clearer to explore the natural beauty of the Manaslu region.
