After breakfast, drive to Soti Khola via Kathmandu-Pokhara Highway. The drive passes through rural communities, small towns, green terraces, and lush hillsides. The road will eventually become a rutted, dirt path and you'll start to see views of the southern slopes of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang Himal. Overnight at Soti Khola.
After breakfast, you'll start the trek up and down through various landscapes including forests, rice paddies, a cliff-face ridge, a rushing river, and several beautiful waterfalls. The journey begins by crossing a bridge, before you trek through a forest, then climb onto a ridge above the wild rapids of Budhi Gandaki River.
You'll then reach Khursane on a rocky trail, past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. You'll eventually descend past a few ride paddies, then continue up and around to the picturesque Gurung village of Labubesi.
From here, you'll further climb near a rocky outcrop where the valley opens up next to the river, which flows more peacefully here. Dropping down to the river shore, you'll walk along with rounded stones before climbing over a side ridge. Head down again to the river and cross another suspension bridge to reach the village of Machha Khola. Overnight at Machha Khola.
After breakfast, you'll start your trek, which follows the gorge and continues up the river. The trail is narrow at first and gently heads up and down, eventually crossing the Tharo Khola to reach Khorlabesi. After more ascending and descending, you'll arrive at a small hot spring in Tatopani—a good place to take a break!
From here, you'll climb over another ridge, then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. You'll then climb up a staircase and head over a ridge to Dobhan. Upon crossing another suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola, you'll climb a stone staircase and then drop to the river and climb more stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Keep an eye out for neat Gurung villages in the jungle high above, as well as Langur monkeys, which roam the region.
Crossing the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki, you'll climb over a ridge, trek along the river and then climb towards the village of Jagat. Overnight at Jagat.
After breakfast starts your trek. There are hot springs at Tatopani where you can enjoy a quick wash. After Tatopani, you will cross a suspension bridge at the left bank of the Budi Gandaki. Then you will ascend through the forest and reach a village of Doban. At this point, the Budi Gandaki descends with an impressive series of rapids. Further up the valley, the river opens up and meanders across a broad gravel bed. The checkpoint to enter Tsum Valley is at Phidim where your permits will be reviewed. Overnight in Tsum.

I had completed the 19 days in Manaslu Tsum valley trek solo with guide Ram and the team of Luxury Holidays Nepal. The journey from the first moment was awesome and helpful from the LHN Company. The guide was great and very attentive to us and good knowledge about the trail around the Manaslu valley. We have the amazing experience with LHN from the low altitude Red Rhododendron forest to the Larke pass surrounded by snowcapped peaks and mountains, waterfalls, huge primordial forests, and the cultural village was all stunning where we can’t remove our eyes from this nature. I loved it!! They also make sure everything was good and choose which one is best for our trek with great hotels and rooms with perfect accommodations. The trek really had everything memorable. When I come back to Nepal, I will be sure to go trekking with Luxury Holidays Nepal and highly recommend it.Published: Friday, January 3, 2020
From the very first moment walking into the Luxury Holiday office, we felt very comfortable and knew that we had made a good choice. LHN members waited around 2 hours at the airport due to the delay of the flight. They done a great arrangement of hotels room, fell amazing and awesome with their services and attentive toward us. Shyam was our guide and extremely knowledgeable due to his extensive guiding all over Nepal. We were doing this as part of a world trip. We planned to do the Manaslu circuit and link up to the Annapurna circuit directly after. The plan was recommended to do the Tsum valley on the Manaslu trek to assist in acclimatization prior to attempting the high passes. It was a fantastic recommendation as was far less busy than other sections and the scenery was magnificent from the top of the valley. The cloud was so near that we felt walking into them. It was really mesmerizing view and experience in a lifetime. We would highly recommend Luxury Holiday Nepal and Guide, to assist you in tailoring your trekking requirement in Nepal.Published: Saturday, September 28, 2019

A general rule of thumb for tipping is from USD 40 to USD 70 per Traveler, depending on the length of the trek. Porters do appreciate a personal tip, although it is not uncommon for the Guide and his Porters to pool the tips they have collected before splitting it amongst themselves, with the Guide is getting a little more for overseeing the welfare and safety of both the Travelers and Porters as a whole. That said, this is just a guide and you may tip, however much you think is appropriate for the services rendered which made your trip a memorable one.
