Mardi Himal Trekking is a short and spectacular trip in the Annapurna region, the trek begins from Kande, after driving from Pokhara. The trip covers some of the breathtaking glacial valleys and the hidden landscape of the Annapurna. The trail is harsh and slippery to slogging ahead till the Mardi Himal base camp.
Trekking to the Mardi Himal base camp is also described as the journey to the hidden gem. It can also be joined with the Annapurna base camp trekking. The trek goes through the miraculous rhododendron forest at the initial portion and eventually, the setting turns on the rugged trail dominated by the hard rock formation. During the trekking, you can explore the dramatic panoramas of Mardi Himal, Fishtail, Annapurna and Himchuli peaks. The trail undulates along the ridge and after a tiresome walk, you gain the High Camp. It is set around 3580 meters as it is shown in the trekking map and hike to the Mardi Himal base camp. The entire Annapurna range is visible from this point.
For the fascinating Mardi Himal Trek, Luxury Holidays Nepal offers teahouse trek with the experienced team.

After breakfast, your journey start an unhurried descent through the shade of the forest and out onto the terraced fields, down 1600m. This is a different route down to the upper Mardi Khola. Here, as you make your way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hillside village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, passing the simple farms and over the interesting suspension bridges. There is no doubt that this is indeed the idyllic Nepal Countryside.
After a short walk now the trail skirts an outcrop- there's the road and transport. You will be back to Pokhara. You're free here to feel the moderate climate and sceneries of this Magic land or Dream Land of Nepal. Explore the various interesting places like Mahendra Cave, David's fall and the various lakes.
You have an option of both driving as well as flying back to Kathmandu. The Pokhara-Kathmandu flight swifts along the Himalayas unveiling Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges. We had a marvelous experience with Mountain Monarchs staying in tea houses, homestays with local families and camping high in the mountains. All logistical planning was excellent and the guides and porters all were professional, helpful and good company. A holiday of a life time. The additional trip to Chitwan was equally memorable.

A general rule of thumb for tipping is to USD 40 to USD 70 per Traveler, depending on the length of the trek. Porters do appreciate a personal tip, although it is not uncommon for the Guide and his Porters to pool the tips they have collected before splitting it amongst themselves, with the Guide is getting a little more for overseeing the welfare and safety of both the Travelers and Porters as a whole. That said, this is just a guide and you may tip, however much you think is appropriate for the services rendered which made your trip a memorable one.

During the trip; weather, local politics, transport or other factors, that are beyond our control can result in a change of itinerary. It is however very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered. If alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything we can to minimize its effect.
