Astonishing Mardi Himal Trek is located just the eastern part of the most popular and famous trekking trail in Nepal, Annapurna Base Camp trek. This trail mostly covers the masked Landscape of the Annapurna region, awe-inspiring glacial valleys, and alpine lush green forest. Mardi Himal trek is still an unseen gem, where only a few people make the way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp which is outstandingly positioned at the base of the most iconic mountain Mt. Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail) and the base of the Mardi Himal. The trek is normally known as an Eco-Tourism trail that crosses through the small winding paths, dense rhododendron forest, and diverse vegetation. The landscape changes quite unexpectedly into a rugged high mountain, which offers spectacular views of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Machapuchhre, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Annapurna ranges.
Mardi Himal Trek takes you to the lap of the Annapurnas, where you will be hiking through the land of incredible biodiversity, landscapes, and perfectly shaped terrain. The spectacular backdrops of Himalayan peaks like Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna are undoubtful highlights of Mardi Trek.
Trekking in Mardi Himal also means you’ll also get to have a cultural experience in both rural and urban areas. During this trip, you will explore the most beautiful and picturesque city, Pokhara, where you can also explore the different cuisine, walking near Phewa lake, boating, fishing, paragliding, and many more activities will definitely be the most influenced factor of Mardi Himal Trek. Once you reach the village area, you will see the diverse ethnic community like Limbu, Rai, Magar, and Chhetri, which also help you to learn about their culture and lifestyle. This exciting combination of natural beauty and diverse cultural aspects is the reason, that makes the Mardi Himal Trek truly beautiful.
Normally Mardi Himal Trek is considered an easy to moderate level hiking trail. The walking distance is shorter and easier and you won’t gain much altitude in a single day. Also, the maximum altitude is nearly 4200m, So, this altitude is common for high mountain trekking. The longest day will be hiking from high camp to base camp and back to high camp. The risk of altitude sickness will be less as we won’t spend much time at higher altitudes. Still, plenty of water, proper rest, and sufficient food will take you easily to the most famous and beautiful trekking trail in Nepal. However, a narrow path. Steep slope might be the problem while trekking, so it’s better to be aware of it.
Mardi Himal trek can be done around the year since the altitude is quite normal as compared to high mountain trekking and also it's moderate in trekking grading. Despite this, there is always favorable weather for the amazing view of mountains and landscapes. Spring and Autumn are the best season to trek in all the Himalayan regions of Nepal and including Mardi as well. Spring generally arrives in February and lasts until May. This season is best for a long day with mild weather and a brightly colored landscape filled with wildflowers and diverse colors of rhododendron bloom. Autumn normally occurs from September and lasts until November end. This season is an excellent choice mostly for the photographers because you can see the clear blue sky which offers an amazing view of mountains and sunset and sunrise over such snow-capped mountains are the stunning view ever.

Here, as you make your way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hillside village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, passing the simple farms and over the interesting suspension bridges. A general rule of thumb for tipping is to USD 40 to USD 70 per Traveler, depending on the length of the trek. Porters do appreciate a personal tip, although it is not uncommon for the Guide and his Porters to pool the tips they have collected before splitting it amongst themselves, with the Guide is getting a little more for overseeing the welfare and safety of both the Travelers and Porters as a whole. That said, this is just a guide and you may tip, however much you think is appropriate for the services rendered which made your trip a memorable one.
